I found my way to photography a little differently.

Hi, I’m Caitlin. I’m an Austin-based wedding photographer, and my path here isn’t the usual one. I started my career as a registered nurse. Long before weddings, I spent my days staying calm under pressure, thinking quickly on my feet, and caring deeply for the people in front of me. It turns out those skills translate pretty perfectly to photographing wedding days.

I blend digital and film photography to create images that feel timeless, colorful, and honest. My approach is rooted in observation and storytelling, balancing documentary moments with an artistic eye so your photos feel natural and true to you. Couples often tell me they felt comfortable quickly and appreciated the steady, relaxed presence I bring to the day, which is something I credit to my years in healthcare. I’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade and have been fortunate to have my work published widely, including features with People and two Brides of Austin covers (now Wed Society Austin).

Outside of weddings, you can usually find me at a coffee shop, spending time around Lady Bird Lake with my dog Riley, or at home with my husband and our growing family. I’d love to get to know you and help document your story in a way that feels meaningful and true to you.

So happy you’re here!

A Trip Down Memory Lane

Everything changed!

After landing my second Brides of Austin cover (now Wed Society Austin), I transitioned into photography full time. As my business continued to grow, I became more intentional with how I worked, choosing to take on fewer weddings each year so I could give my clients more care and attention while also prioritizing my family. From paddleboard wedding ceremonies on Lady Bird Lake to cliffside celebrations in Cabo and Portugal, I feel incredibly grateful to do this work and to tell stories in such meaningful places!

The year it all started

I studied documentary photography abroad in Prague during one summer while I was in nursing school at UT (hook 'em!). Little did I know my lifelong hobby would turn into a career that I’m so passionate about.

My business officially begins

On my days off from nursing, I began photographing engagement sessions simply for fun, which quickly grew into weddings and referrals from past couples. I had no idea what my part time business would become!

My love for film began

I took a film photography workshop and pretty quickly fell in love with the look of film. After a lot of practice, I started shooting film at every wedding and based my digital editing on the look of medium format film. Over time, other local photographers began asking about my true-to-tone editing, which naturally led me to start mentoring and teaching editing to other photographers.
